Never try to talk in a shortcut way... it will somehow make ppl misinterpret what we really meant. I had quite a few incidents tat makes me feel that I should really watch out for my 'shortcuts'. lol.
One of which happened when i went out wif my cousin and friends. We were strolling down the road. Half way through, I thought we should turned and walk back to where we came frm as it was rather dark at the front. And so i suggested, 'Hei, its quite dark here. Can already!'. They started laughing... well... I didnt realised what I said was 'not very right' till tey told me about y it doesnt sound right... arhhh....
Another was when my friends and I were playing tis concentration game whereby we had to put our hands over one anothers'. I was supposed to place one hand above Shilin's and the other hand below Gary's but I realised tat both of my hands were above thiers. So I told Gary, 'Wrong la! I should be below, you should be above!' And den he shouted,' SOUND WRONG LA!!!!' -_-!!!
So after quite a few of such incidents tat happened, I was chatting wif Shilin on the phone, trying to advice her not to make the same mistakes. She said, 'Ya lor! I always talk shortcut, den my brother YI ZHI ZHUA YI ZHI ZHUA!' and I replied, 'ya... wo ye shi YI ZHI BEI ZHUA!' Suddenly, we PAUSED! LOL! Cant stopped laughing after tat!!! (In any case if u dont gt it, wat we meant by 'ZHUA' was actually 'catch' instead of 'scratch'... =x)
